Seed Saving Workshop

Join Grassroots Gardens of WNY at Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village in a session on seed saving 101. We will address the importance of saving seeds and how implementing this process can lead to robust plants adapted to your growing conditions. Participants can expect to have a hands-on demonstration on how to process, store, and document seed saving. Folks can bring their own seeds to process as well.
Grassroots Gardens WNY is an independent organization of gardeners and activists in Buffalo and Niagara Falls, NY, committed to facilitating local community gardens. Our model is truly grassroots – we are entirely community driven in the creation, management, and upkeep of over 100 community and school gardens. GGWNY’s mission is to share knowledge, power, and resources to grow healthy food, heal systemic harm, and strengthen neighborhood connections through our gardens.
Grassroots Garden’s staff team has diverse experiences and expertise in gardening topics, much of which is learned through working with a knowledgeable and broad group of community gardeners. We enjoy opportunities to share our knowledge in classrooms, workshops, and lectures when the opportunities arise!
